Queer Book Fair & Summer Reading Rendezvous

Summer reading season is here and that means it’s time for another Queer Book Fair!

Come out to Dromedary Coming Out in Bushwick for a pop up queer and trans bookstore curated by Hive Mind Books. We’ll have a mix of novels, poetry, history & culture, romance, sci fi, memoir, classics, some new releases, and more hand-picked book selections, all by and for queer and trans readers. Grab a book for Riis, the neighborhood park, your favorite coffee shop with free AC, or wherever your summer adventures take you.

After browsing, chill for a while and turn some pages at Dromedary. They’re making space for everyone to hang out and read. Dive right into your new book or meet and chat with other readers. Bring good vibes and tips for bartenders.

This event is also a book drive for Nonbinarian Book Bike! The Book Bike is a mutual aid initiative that distributes free queer books throughout Brooklyn. They had an EPIC June and could use some assistance restocking the bike. We have tons of books from their wishlist in our inventory. You can buy and donate on site, and we'll get the books to the Bike. You can also bring your (good condition) queer books from home to donate.

We are strongly encouraging masking at this event. We will have free Kn95 masks available for anyone who needs one.

Please note: space at this event is limited, so please be real with your RSVP so we can include everyone who wants to be there.

A portion of the sales at this, and all Hive Mind Books events, is donated to Palestine Children's Relief Fund.
