Queer Book Club

  • Hive Mind Books 219 Irving Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11237 United States (map)

The Hive Mind Books Queer Book Club meets once a month to discuss a different book by a queer or/and trans writer.

We’re kicking off with one of our bestselling books of Fall 2024: Taiwan Travelogue by Yang Shuang-zi. See below for the next couple months’ picks.

We’ll meet Thursday, February 27 at 7pm, at our bookstore: 219 Irving Avenue, Bushwick.

Meetings are free to attend and hosted by Camille Perri, author of the novels When Katie Met Cassidy and The Assistants. We’ll read both fiction and nonfiction by authors across queer and trans identities.

This is a no-pressure club. It’s okay if you didn’t finish the book. What matters is meeting each other and finding community through our conversations. Maybe you only read a few pages. Maybe you didn’t read the book at all and are interested in knowing more about it. Everyone interested in joining us is welcome at our book club table.

Book club picks are 10% off at Hive Mind Books. Just tell us when checking out that you’re buying it for book club. The night of book club, attendees receive $1 off drinks and snacks at our coffee counter.

Please RSVP so we know how many people to expect. Thanks!
