New York Public Library: Alana Saab

Alana Saab discusses her debut novel Please Stop Trying to Leave Me, at the Tompkins Square branch of New York Public Library. There will be a Q&A at the end. This event is free to attend.

Alana Saab is a Portuguese-Lebanese-American author and screenwriter based in NYC. She has an MFA from The New School in Fiction Writing ('22), a masters from Columbia University in Psychology ('19), and her bachelors from New York University ('16). In her work, she writes about the interplay between conscious and unconscious existence, while exploring themes of mental health, trauma, queerness and the transcendent through a metamodern approach. Alana is a long-standing teaching artist at Here, There and Everywhere, facilitating writing workshops to survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking and sexual assault. Please Stop Trying to Leave Me is her debut novel.
